Sustainable Socialism?

Sustainable Socialism?

ICLEI, sometimes called Local Governments for Sustainability, is a global, non-profit, private foundation that has been charged with the task of implementing Agenda 21 on behalf of the United Nations.  It was partly responsible for the creation of Agenda 21 and is the lead NGO (non-government organization) promoting a Socialist agenda at the local level.  The main issues it uses to promote support are “environmentalism” and “sustainability.”

Agenda 21 is an international document created at the United Nation’s Earth Summit held in Rio de Janeiro in 1992. It outlines, in detail, the U.N.’s vision for a centrally managed global society. This contract binds governments around the world to the United Nation’s plan for controlling the way we live, eat, learn, travel and communicate. It is implemented under the guise of “sustainable development”.

“Sustainable development” (smart growth) is a plan to control private businesses, nationalize zoning controls of private property, restructure curriculum and combine social welfare programs. It is the greatest threat we face today against the American ideal of liberty. It is based entirely on the Socialist concept of wealth redistribution.

We are seeing the implementation and spread of all of this plan in Montana. There are three cities that have joined ICLEI. They are Bozeman, Helena and Missoula. We have also been community organized and regionalized by the Yellowstone Business Partnership (YBP). YBP has politically organized the 25 counties that surround Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks in parts of Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. Within this area, YBP has delineated smaller 6 regions. The Billings-Cody Sub Region is one of these and, the Commissioners in Yellowstone County have signed on to YBP’s coalition in order to be qualified to get grants from the Partnership for Sustainable Development. Upon accepting such a grant, the recipient will be obligated to follow the requirements of the EPA, DOT and HUD in order to proceed with “sustainable development” plans. This is just one of the many methods the followers of Agenda 21 are using to deceive and force their political views on all of us.

The following links to articles by Donna Holt and James Simpson will guide you through the maze of double-speak and gobbledegook used by supporters of Agenda 21.  It’s proponents are adept at laying verbal smokescreens.  There is a lot to be learned before we are able to stop this insidious evil.
